Research Themes

  • Mathematical analysis of shock waves in systems of conservation laws: hyperbolic-elliptic systems, nonstrictly hyperbolic systems, systems with nonsmooth flux, van der Waals fluids, conservation laws with memory  

  • Numerical approximations for several systems arisen from gas dynamics, elastodynamics, phase transitions

  • Hyperbolic systems of conservation laws with source terms: multi-phase flows, nozzle flows, shallow water equations. Study mathematical formulation and developments of numerical schemes.
