How to reach the institute?
If you come by train and arrive at the main station:
When you leave the main station (presently being rebuilt) at the main entrance you are on the "Bismarckallee". Cross it and turn left (northern direction, parallel to the railway line). At the next big crossing go straight ahead keeping in the same direction. The name of this street is "Stefan-Meier-Straße". Follow it until you can turn right into the "Hermann-Herder-Straße" (2nd turning on the right). The building on the corner is the "Rechenzentrum" (=computer centre) in which our institute is situated on the 2nd floor.

If you use the motorway A5 and come from the north:
Leave the motorway at "Freiburg-Nord" and follow the B 294 in the Freiburg direction. After some kilometres you reach a big crossing. Follow the Freiburg direction which means that you have to turn right into the B 3. Follow the signs "Freiburg" or "Freiburg Zentrum" (= City). As soon as you are in the town there is a big crossing with traffic lights. Go straight along in the direction of the City Centre until you have to pass under a railway bridge. Immediately after the bridge you must turn right into the "Stefan-Meier-Straße". There you pass three traffic lights. After the 3rd traffic light turn right into the "Hermann-Herder-Straße". The building on the corner is the "Rechenzentrum" ...
If you use the motorway A5 and come from the south:
Leave the motorway at "Freiburg-Mitte" and follow the direction of Freiburg-Zentrum (= City Centre). Then follow the signs "Freiburg Hauptbahnhof" (= main station). If you are there, just pass the main station (it is on the left hand side - presenty rebuilt) until you reach the next big crossing. Go straight along until you pass another traffic light. After this turn right into the "Hermann-Herder-Straße". The building on the corner is the "Rechenzentrum" ...
